Your meter readings
Average daily consumption
29 Aug – 10 Sep 2026
How to use this calculator
On your first visit, replace the example values with your own:
- Previous Reading: The “New Reading” on your latest electricity bill. This is the starting reading for tracking usage since that bill.
- Previous Date: The “New Date” corresponding to that reading on the same bill. Do not use the bill’s issue date or payment due date.
- Today’s Reading: The latest reading on your meter.
- Yesterday’s Date: The day before the latest reading was taken. This is the end date used to count days.
Results update as you type. Use readings from the same meter; the latest reading must not be lower than the earlier one, and the end date must be later than the previous date.
Understanding the results
Total units are the difference between the two readings. Days elapsed are the difference between the selected dates. Your daily average is total units divided by days elapsed, displayed to up to two decimal places.
Colour guide: Green means below 10 units per day; orange means exactly 10; red means above 10. The colour uses the unrounded average.
Returning to the calculator
Your entries are remembered in the same browser on the same device. Readings and dates stay unchanged until you edit them. Entries do not sync across devices or browsers and may be lost if you clear website data or use private browsing.
